How To Make A Recovery Disc For Your Computer

  1. Warning : I will not held responsible for any lost of data and damage to property upon doing this procedures. Practice Safe Computing, and remember to alway backup your data.

    Requirment :
    DVD Writer
    Blank DVD Disc (4.7 or 8.5(better) )

    Software:
    Acronis True Image www.acronis.com (Up to this writing latest version is 9.1)
    Nero Burning Rom
    UltraISO 8.0
    Windows XP

    The juicy part....

    I have 40 Gig Hard drive and i will partition by 3(16, 11,11 ) respectively.
    Format the drive using NTFS (all partition)
    Make a clean install of Windows XP on partition 1
    Install all the drivers, softwares you required.
    Install Acronis True Image.
    Make an Image Backup of Drive C:
    Put the new Image Backup on partition
    Put a name on the file this will have an extension of .tib.
    Now create a bootable iso image using True Image and save it in partition 3.
    Open the image and add the Truimage backup file using UltraISO. Save the file.
    Using Nero Burn the Iso image you created and test is by booting the disc in your drive. (Make sure that your Computer bios is set to boot to CDROM
    Cross your finger and if the acronis screen appears, then your in luck.
    Wait until it is fully loaded. Then Select Restore Image. Select the file from your DVD and proceed to the next prompts. Wait for about 30 minutes until it finished restoring your drive.
    Reboot your computer.
    Finished. You have now your restore disc. Keep in safe place.

    The lesson : You don't have to reinstall window xp in a normal fashion and you will save time.
    NOTE : The data that was on your computer before the restore process will be deleted. Please save all your important data in another hardisk or partition.
